Fixture Changes post LockDown!
Hi everyone,
I hope that you all enjoyed the long weekend and restrictions and the easing of those restrictions and have kept abreast of the impact it has had on our planned Round 1 fixtures.
We have tried to keep everyone up to date via email, our socials and the TeamApp and please keep in constant contact with your Coaches and Team Managers for any further updates.
The updates below are as at today, Tuesday at 3:30 pm, and are highly likely to be subject to further change, but at present they are as follows:
Female Football - Youth Sides
All of the Youth Football will proceed as planned on Friday night, namely our Year 7/8 and Year 9/10 Teams. Coaches will be required to wear masks and games will be played without spectators, including parents, families and friends.
This is in accordance with the restrictions that are currently in place and which are scheduled to ease further on midnight on Friday night.
The female footballers will be doing a make up training session on Wednesday night and will be playing on Friday. Good luck!
Female Football - Junior Sides
All of the Junior Football (Year 5/6 side) will be rescheduled to the bye round.
There will be a training session which is currently planned for Friday night but please get in contact with your Team Manager for the rules associated with that session.
Mixed and Male Youth - Friday Night Fixtures
All mixed and male youth games which were scheduled for Friday night were rescheduled to
Sunday. Contact your team manager to talk through the fixturing changes.
Mixed and Male Youth - Saturday and Sunday Fixtures
All of the Saturday and Sunday fixtures will proceed as planned and as to the level of COVID restrictions in place, it will depend on the easing scheduled to occur on midnight on Friday night and future announcements as to whether or not spectators will be permitted etc but we will put a further update out at that time.
Auskick - Saturday
Auskick is planned to proceed on Saturday morning as originally scheduled and will be conducted in accordance with the WAFC and governement guidelines, at that time. Please reach out to our Auskick Co-ordinators on auskick@mbjfc.com.au if you have any queries.
Training this Week
All training this week will be without spectators and coaches and team officials will be wearing masks and adhering to the COVID rules that are currently in place. Players will not be required to wear masks as this constitutes "vigorous activity".
I know a lot of teams were planning leadership announcements and even a few season opening pizza and bbq nights this week but these will be rescheduled and look out for updates from your Coaches re the leadership announcements and how they will occur.
Please comply with the COVID safe requirements including checking in via the SafeWA app, personal hygiene matters and do not attend training if unwell. For parents and family members, please merely drop your children off and perhaps wait in your vehicle or return to pick them up at the conclusion of training.
All uniforms, mouthguards and other coaching requirements will be distributed by the Club, via the Coaches, and if you havent already been contacted regarding those arrangements, reach out to your Coach and Team Manager for further information.
I wish you all the best of luck this week and lets all hope there are no more "nasty surprises" this week and that we get Round 1 away.
If you have any queries in relation to the above do not hesitate to contact our President, Todd Zani, on president@mbjfc.com.au.
